Nice video of Sony Ericsson's EXPERIA X2 and Windows Mobile 6.5. I'm not sure it can do much to stand between consumers and iPhone/android phones but its always nice to see new software. In addition, there will always be die hard Win Mo fans out there.

HTC Touch Flow 3D 2.5: Proves Windows Mobile isn't totally horrible
HTC is the only phone manufacture that I have seen really take over a device with a UI overlay. Since Touch Flow 3D was introduced on the first HTC Touch, they have kept making the overlay better and better. This recent video on manilla(Touch Flow 2.5) proves that it can be even better. What is also does, is show that Windows Mobile isn't completely worthless, and as long as you don't have to see it that often, its ok to use a Winmo phone.

Oprea Mobile 9.7: Making Windows Mobile Browsing Better.
In the world of Windows Mobile, Opera has long been the standout in mobile browsing. In fact, most of the mobile browsers used today, got their fluid motion effects and over all layout from Opera. Well now they have made it better. The main improvement is with Opera Turbo, a software that compresses pages up to 80%. Remember, since your are viewing this on a mobile phone, most of the high res features on a site are unused on a small screen.

Windows Mobile Marketplace: Sloppy Thirds?
Come one come all. After Apple changed the game with their itunes'esc app store, blackberry launched App World for their devices. Now the Windows Mobile crew has followed suit. I don't blame them for doing so because its a great way to bring developers and consumers together to really make their handsets do more. The only thing I don't like , is that it makes it seem like Blackberry and Windows Mobile just now got apps. The fact remains that both Blackberry and WinMo have had apps available for 10 years. Even longer if you include the original windows CE on the iPaq. So don't think this is the first time you have been able to get apps on WinMo. And no they aren't "sloppy thirds." They have been doing this for a long time. That being said, this is long over do and many more great apps will be able to find their way to the people.
Good job WinMo, now lets see how you execute.
...as always, tell me what you think.
