Big money for iPhone developer start-up

iPhone start up Tapulous says its sales have grown to almost $1,000,000/Month for iPhone application sales.  Apparently a lot of iPhone users are tap tapping away.  Tapulous credits there revenues to application sales, ad revenues, and direct downloads of songs.  Anyone know an iPhone developer?

Will iPhone be available on Verizon next year?

Brian Marshall seems to think so. In this clip from Bloomberg, Brian talks about the exclusive agreement with AT&T ending in "June of 2010." The big question for me is, what does this mean for the consumer base? If you could get the iPhone on any network, which one would you choose? In Australia there is no exclusive carrier. So consumers are free to pick which carrier has the best pricing and coverage, rather than looking at who carries the phone they desire. In addition to the discussion about iPhone, it was great to here about Apple's successes on the computer space. As an Apple fan, I am excited to hear about their 5% market share growing. Looks like the only place to go from here is up.

Spotify Android/iPhone Application: Mobile iTunes Killer?

Here is a demo of Spotify, what seems to be a fantastic mobile music application. The media actually streams to the device, unless of course you want to save it for use when you venture out of coverage. Unfortunately it doesn't work in the US due to licensing regulation but we can always dream. Check out the Spotify website for more info.

Tom Tom App and Mount for iPhone.

Here is a video of a fantastic mount for the iPhone, and what from what I can see of the app, it looks pretty good as well. The mount seems to really make the iPhone into a proper gps unit, without having to luge around the second device. I haven't seen the figures on the app or the car unit, but as long as it's not insane, I would say its a good buy.

O2 gets Blackberry, iPhone, and the Palm Pre: Hey thats not fair

Hello from London...As I was searching the internet for the best SIM card rates in the U.K., I decided to have a look at o2's website. To my amazement, I had totally forgotten, that O2 was the exclusive provider of the iPhone in the U.K. Additionally, they recently announced they were going to be the first to pick up the GSM Palm Pre. O2 is also the only U.K. carrier to offer pre-paid Blackberry plans. Great job to O2 for seemingly domminating the hardware market across the pond. If I am a British cell phone fan, I am hoping my company uses O2, thats for sure.

Weekly Funny: Jerry Seinfeld Dissing Blackberry and iPhone

I do it, you do it, so don't be mad a Jerry for saying. There is a reason they call it a Crackberry and usually it does have better info than the people I am talking to. Just Kidding...Sort of.

Palm Pre Review. As if you haven't see enough.

Tired of seeing Palm Pre stuff? Well too bad, because I am sure it will just keep coming. The people at PreCentral.net have posted their Pre Review. They do a pretty good job and I figured I would spare you the other 500 that I have watched. Of course, until I do mine, then you must watch.

iPhone not good because of AT&T?

I'm glad she finally said it. It's a great device, but man AT&T isn't great. So bring on the Palm Pre. Great features in a device and a network that truly kicks butt. Nevermind about the whole GPS thing though, Airforce already working on a fix.

Weekend Usless Technology: RichardSolo 1800 for iPhone - External battery pack

OK so maybe it isn't "useless" but why would they not have made it with an iPhone/iPod charger. It couldn't have been much more work, or maybe they didn't want to pay any royalties to Apple. Whatever the reason, asking iPhone users to carry another cable is bogus. Even though is has a laser, I would still opt for one of the other similar devices that use the Apple charging cable.

Palm Pre Theme for iphone? A day that will live in infamy!

Poetic justice - is a literary device in which virtue is ultimately rewarded or vice punished, often in modern literature by an ironic twist of fate intimately related to the character's own conduct.

In a truly awesome turn around in the world of smartphones, a developer has designed a "Palm Pre" theme for iPhones. After seeing iPhone themes for everything from Blackberry to Android, I can say that it brings an enormous smile to my face to see this happen.

Finally, some one has confirmed what I have been saying all along. Look out world the Pre is going to be amazing. This is happening in the same way the iPhone saw its fame climb. First the skeptics give there overly presumptuous opinions, and then the emulators bring their copies.

I feel like we should all sing "kumbaya."

The Pre is coming, The Pre is coming!!!!

Some call it the "iPhone killer"... Some say its the "next great thing in devices"...

The boys at Engadget have posted an update on the Palm Pre, filled with specs...I mean speculation and other preemptive info. Check it out.

I say, lets wait and see what she's actually like. I plan to do a full review of the Palm Pre (when I can get my grubby little hands on one), and it might even be my first video blog. But, until then its all just rumors, rumors, and more rumors. The Pre has had more hype than any phone I have ever seen. Yes, more than the iPhone. And with hype, comes criticism and speculation. So, lets all just chill for a bit and wait for the darn thing to come out. Then, we can all comment (on this blog hopefully) about whether or not we like it.
