Firefox 3.5 feature video

With just 5 days left on the techTIMMY.net survey to the right, it is pretty obvious that most people are using Firefox as their preferred internet browser. I though it would be good to post a feature video for Firefox 3.5 in case you aren't aware of what Firefox is all about. Of course, if you use Firefox but are impatient, like me , then you may not have read though the new feature list when you upgraded to 3.5. All in all, its a pretty nice video. Has anyone else notice all the tech companies going to white backgrounds for their training videos. Maybe Apple should put in a patent request for the color white.

Google Chrome Updates: Better than Firefox?

Check out this video of updates from Google Chrome:

Now the big question is do you think its better than Firefox. I am an avid Firefox fan, only because I have both PC and Mac and I like to have a more seamless browsing experience. However, after hearing about the over 300 bug fixes in the latest update, I am going to give Chrome another try. So, tell what your favorite browser is and why.

Not familar with Google Chrome? Check out this video:

As you can see, Google Chrome has great potential as long as its not buggy.

...as always, tell me what you think.

Firefox Private Browsing Windows...Gross?

Mozilla's Firefox has jumped on the bandwagon along with Google's Chrome, by updating their browsers with "Private browsing windows." Check out Gizmodo.

I am having trouble really seeing the purpose of private browsing windows...Well other then the obvious, spousal deception. I mean really what is the point?

So for those that done know what a private browsing window is, I'll explain:
1.) User opens Firefox.
2.) User gets an inkling to browse in "private". ooooooo.
3.) After going to several website of ill repute, the user needs to make a quick exit from browser.
4.) User closes private window, and the past (cache and history) is in the past.
5.) User can go on living life without feeling dirty?

Ok, so maybe its not porn...maybe its facebook. Either way it seems pretty fishy.

I don't want to knock Firefox too much though. It is the best browser I have ever used and there are a great deal of other enhancements (pardon the pun) that make internet browsing better.

...as always, tell me what you think.
