Sprint MiFi: Making iPhone Faster?

There has been a lot of buzz, on this blog and others, about Sprint's EVDO Rev A network being faster than At&t and Verizon, and at least one At&t subscriber has taken notice. I was showing some friends my new Sprint MiFi and one avid iPhone fan decided to fix her slow speed problem. She simply tapped my MiFi to the back of her iPhone and voila, problem solved. From there she proceeded to walk around for hours surfing at "Sprint Speed" until the iPhone battery died. Oh and by the way, the MiFi still had some battery to give.
